Maison Billard - Domaine Lapierre

Pour sa première newsletter, la Maison Billard met en lumière le Beaujolais. Le halo du projecteur s’est donc naturellement dirigé sur le lieu-dit Les Chênes à VILLIE-MORGON, fief des LAPIERRE, depuis le début du siècle dernier. Michel, puis son fils Camille, suivi de Marcel, son petit-fils, reprennent successivement les rênes du domaine.

Camille Lapierre nous a rendu visite pour nous parler du domaine familial, de sa cuvée éponyme et enfin du Festival DÉZING. Rencontre avec une passionnée.

Aujourd’hui, l’exploitation jouit d’une aura internationale, due à une qualité constante des vins, et à l’adhésion de Marcel aux méthodes de vinifications de Jules CHAUVET. En effet, dès les années 80, l’aventure des vins dits “natures” commence au domaine, et insuffle un vent nouveau dans la façon de faire le Vin en Beaujolais. Marcel LAPIERRE devient alors l’instigateur d’une mouvance, suivie par des Vignerons de renom, tels que : Jean FOILLARD, Jean-Paul THEVENET, Yvon MÉTRAS ou encore Guy BRETON. Actuellement, le domaine s’étend sur une surface totale de 13 hectares (dont deux sur la Côte du Py) pour une production essentiellement composée des appellations Morgon et de Vin de France.

L’exploitation est gérée par Mathieu LAPIERRE, fils de Marcel, rejoint en 2012 par sa sœur Camille. La nouvelle génération s’efforce de respecter les valeurs de ses aïeux tant à la vigne et au chai que dans ses relations commerciales comme le prouve son engagement avec la Maison BILLARD. En effet, depuis 1994, la Maison BILLARD commercialise les vins du domaine LAPIERRE avec l’envie commune de promouvoir le Beaujolais. Un engagement que Marie, l’épouse de Marcel continue d’honorer avec le Château Cambon, le domaine qu’elle gère avec son associé Jean-Claude CHANUDET -dit le Chat- (vigneron du Domaine Chamonard). Elle demeure un soutien de taille, dans la gestion du domaine, pour ses enfants.

Camille. Un prénom que la cadette partage avec son grand-père et qui est à l’origine de la cuvée éponyme, issue de La Roche du Py, face granitique de la célèbre Côte du Py. Mais la cuvée Camille est aussi une ode à la féminisation du métier et un joli pied de nez à “ceux qui pensent encore que l’on ne peut pas être une femme et faire du bon vin”. Engagée et entreprenante, Camille est également Présidente de l’association Global Warming, à l’initiative du Festival Dézing.

Dézing. La famille LAPIERRE appréciée pour son sens de la convivialité, a longtemps organisé “son 14 juillet”. Cet évènement était un moment de rencontre et de partage entre copains, collègues, importateurs et clients du domaine, que Marcel et Marie aimaient rassembler. Le fameux méchoui a laissé place au Festival Dézing, un évènement haut en couleur, qui prône les atouts du Beaujolais. Les 22 et 23 juillet derniers, s’est donc déroulée la seconde édition du Festival sous le signe de la Musique et du Gamay.
